Your TheaterStation is designed to be very stable and reliable, however there are many items that effect performance. Envive recommends that Consumers first contact the Dealer that installed your TheaterStation as they are familiar with the specifics of your installation. Envive is available to support both your Dealer and you if required.
In the event that your TheaterStation isn't performing correctly here are some steps you can take to fix or identify the issue.
Update you firmware to the most current version
Envive regularly releases firmware updates to both add features and fix any reported problems. Updating your firmware is very easy. Press the Menu button on your remote, navigate to Settings, and select the Check for Updates option. TheaterStation will check to see if a new firmware version is available and will automatically download it. If it has been a while since you updated your TheaterStation, multiple updates may be available. Please continue to Check for Updates until you receive the message that "TheaterStation is up to date!".
Should you run into a problem with your TheaterStation or have a feature that you wished TheaterStation supported, please email support@enviveit.com and we will investigate how we can correct the problem or add the feature.
Check your Network and Internet connection
Your TheaterStation connects to the internet frequently. Slow TheaterStation response is usually caused by poor or inconsistant internet access. To check your networking connection, press the Menu button, navigate to Settings, and select Networking. If your TheaterStation is a standalone unit it should report that it is "Connected" and also provide the IP address for the connection. If your TheaterStation reports that it is "Not Connected", then it is not able to access the internet. If your TheaterStation is a Client to a Server or Centralized Network Storage unit, then "Connected" means that your TheaterStation is connected to the server or networked storage unit. "Not Connected" means that your Client is not able to find the your server or networked storage unit. (NOTE: Do not change any settings under networking unless you are trained on TheaterStation installations or you are aware of how your TheaterStation should be configured for your network. Changing a setting to an incorrect value could cause your TheaterStation to no longer be able to access your network. Your Dealer should be called if you feel your networking is no longer working or properly configured.)
Resetting your TheaterStation
You can quickly Reset TheaterStation by pressing the Power button (on the remote or system) and selecting the Reset option. This resets the TheaterStation application without you having to turn off the system.
Turning your TheaterStation off
Should your TheaterStation become non-responsive to the remote control or your home automation system, you can force a power off on the unit by pushing and holding the power button for 4 seconds. The power should only be turned off this way if the TheaterStation is not responsive to the other power off methods.
