The current version of firmware for all TheaterStation Server/Client models is: Release 2.0 Build 2.3.4.
Envive offers free updates to TheaterStation using our online service. Follow these steps to see if a new update is available for your system.
- Make sure that your network connection is running.
- Press Menu on your remote, arrow to and select Settings, arrow to and select Check for Updates.
- TheaterStation will check for a new update and will automatically download if available.
- NOTE: If the download is large it might take as long as 20 minutes to complete based on your home network speed.
- NOTE: After the download complete the TheaterStation will reboot. The reboot of TheaterStation might take longer than normal as the new update is configured. PLEASE BE PATIENT. During this time the screen is blank and you might think it has frozen but it hasn’t. It could take up to 4 minutes
- When the carousel comes up the update process is complete.
From time to time, Envive will release an complete new software version. These releases are automaticially downloaded to an open partition on your TheaterStation. When you do a Check For Updates, see above procedure, and a new software version is available you will be notified that this new image is available. It is always recommended that you update your server unit first before you update any TheaterStation client units.
