My network performance has been less than stellar, how can I improve the performance of my network? Trouble Shooting:A: First, you should go back and check every connection on the back of the E-Center. Make sure that your cables are firmly plugged in, and that the DVI/VGA connector has been properly secured by the thumbscrews to the unit itself. Reboot the system as needed to check for peripheral connectivity. KEYBOARD AND MOUSE Next, you should check each peripheral. Begin with your mouse and keyboard. If they are wireless and require batteries, check to make sure the unit has been sufficiently charged and that older batteries have been replaced. If you have not installed batteries in the keyboard or mouse please do so at this time. AUDIO If you are having trouble with your audio make sure that the cables are securely plugged in and that the speakers have power and your receiver (if applicable) is powered on and on the correct input. Make sure that the PC Volume (and receiver volume if applicable) has not been muted or turned down low. DISPLAY If you are not receiving video from the unit, begin by checking the VGA or DVI cable. Make sure that it properly connected to both the PC and the display. Next make sure that your display is on and the display has been set to the appropriate input. If your TV supports 1080p resolution ensure that the DVI or VGA cable you are using is no longer than 10 feet. If you are experiencing problems with screen resolution, please contact us directly for assistance. Q: After making sure the monitor is properly connected to the system, the display is still blank. What should I do? A: If the computer has been sitting idle for some time, the built-in power management function may blank the screen to save power. Move your mouse or press any key on the keyboard to wake the PC from its power saving sleep state. If your display is still blank, Try pressing the power button on your included remote or press the power button located on the front of the PC. If you are still experiencing problems, please contact us directly for assistance. Q: When I try to use my mouse, the cursor jumps or behaves erratically, how can I fix this? A: If you are using an optical mouse, it may not exhibit optimal performance on glossy or glass surfaces. Consider placing the mouse on a clean sheet of paper or other flat, smooth, non-glossy surface. If you have purchased a Gyration Keyboard and Mouse with your PC, The mouse can also be used in the air. Please refer to the included manufacturer instructions on properly using your Gyration Wireless mouse. Q: Occasionally my system hangs or does not respond to any keystrokes, what do I do? A: Don't be panic. Your PC is often performing tasks or recordings that utilize resources, even when the system is in a Viiv sleep state. Be patient. If the system does not wake up after several minutes, you can press Ctrl + Alt + Del keys simultaneously to reboot/restart the PC. If this does not work, you will have to locate the power button on the front of the PC to perform a hard restart. Press and hold the power button for at least 5 seconds or until the system has turned off. Turn the PC back on with the power button after about 10 seconds. The PC will boot up and resume normal function. If you have recently installed an application that is causing the PC to act in a manner not originally intended. You may uninstall the application by utilizing the Windows Install/Remove functions built into the Control Panel. Users are responsible for the applications they install on their E-Center PC's. Envive will not provide any type of support for 3 rd party software which was not installed on the PC at the time of shipping. It is your responsibility to contact the software provider for any technical support regarding their products. Q: I am still having problems with my E-Center PC.
